The Arrival

Today was my final morning in England. I woke up fairly early and decided to read, trying to get back to sleep every now and again. But I did manage to get back to sleep. I then woke up at...uh....some time after 7:00. I went on the computer and talked to dad. Eventually, I think at around 7:30, Nanna found me on the computer. Eventually, after a while, there was breakfast. Cereal, as usual.

After breakfast, we slowly started to get ready to go to Spain. I had a bath, and got dressed. Then we had lunch. It was so good. Quiche, sausage rolls and salad. And then for dessert, a meringue roll. After some packing up, I met Uncle Alistair´s nephew.

We then headed off to the airport. It was a small and fairly cold airport. At least on the outside it was like that. Inside it was quite busy. We had to wait to go up through the system, and in this period of waiting, me and Thomas had drinks. I had a Diet Coke, Thomas had a hot chocolate. After a bit more waiting we headed up in to the fray. We had to stand around in the lobby and wait for quite some time. But eventually we got through and on to the plane.

The plane ride was very short, but quite comfortable. I fell asleep for most of the flight. When we arrived, we were picked up. We then got to Nona´s house and had dinner of soup and pork and prunes followed by a dessert of cake. Then Thomas lead the cat out of the room with a trail of treats.

Bye.

The Masterful Mind That Knows How to Take Pictures (Now with in built shovel attachment!)

Last night, after the previous blog post, Uncle Alistair taught me how to play Mastermind. It's good fun. Anyway, back to the blog post.

Today I woke up at 4:00. That was pretty ridiculous, I know. So as I was awake I read my Calvin and Hobbes book and tried to sleep every now and again. Eventually I did nod off and woke up again at sometime after 8:00, which was a bit better. Thomas told me to lie in for a bit more. I did so and got up about, what I thought was, 10 minutes later. Which was good. So I got up and scrambled down to find Granddad at the kitchen table, reading the paper. I went in to the dining room and turned on the telly (can't quite remember what I watched, all I can think about right now is poor Meat Boy, mayherestinpeace). After a few minutes, we had breakfast which featured cereal. And there was also toast.

Couple of hours after we went shopping. Nanna wanted to go in to a local sports shop, JCB Sports (Yay! Advertising!), to change some Christmas presents. Nanna offered to get me and Thomas something, buuuut there wasn't much we fancied. We then went in to Currys, an electrical gadget shop, to have a look at TVs for Alistair. Whilst we were there we bought a camera for Thomas, which we shall use in Spain. So hopefully the Spain blog posts will have pictures. I also found Super Smash Bros. Brawl (for the Wii), but we weren't sure about getting it because we didn't know if it would work. On the way back, Nanna bought fish and chips for lunch.

After a very tasty lunch, Thomas did some research on the English games on Australian consoles issue and found out that, yes, they would work. Nanna will get it whilst I'm in Spain. There was then a tea of chips, dip and various meats. Then we all relaxed and played Mastermind.

Bye.

The Gardens and Muddy Hills of Steeple Claydon

Today, I woke up at 1:00. After a couple of hours of boredom there was (SEGMENT REMOVED). So I decided to clean myself up with a lovely bath. Nanna poked her head in, wondering if I was okay. But everything was fine. I then stepped out on to the wooden floor, slipped on the small bit of wetness my foot had created, and CRASH! In to a near by chair I went. Nanna heard this loud noise and came to see if I was okay. So she helped me up and dried me off and I didn't quite want to go back in to bed, so we went downstairs to watch some television. Nanna brought me a nice hot chocolate. We then brought the little digital one from mine and Thomas's room and put it in the dining room. So we watched television on that. Eventually Thomas woke up, had his shower/bath and came down to watch TV with me. We then had cereal for breakfast.

Lunch was a meal of sausages, stuffing, steak, brussel sprouts, carrots and broccoli. I only had sausages, stuffing, carrots and broccoli. It was very delicious. Shortly after, we went off for a walk along the gardens and muddy hills of Steeple Claydon. I was wearing my battered pair of shoes, and that was a poor decision because the mud came up through the holes in my shoes and wet my socks. But we had a lovely long walk. Unfortunately I took a bit of a fall when my foot accidentaly got trapped in a bit of grass. We talked about things (Can't quite remember exactly) and then we walked up to the church to see if it was open, but sadly it was not. Thomas and I read a couple of gravestones. Unfortuanately time had removed what was written on a lot of the gravestones. We then walked around to Claydon house and saw the stump of the old tree that my mother used to sit under and read books. She used to pretend it was her house. We went through a small gate and saw the back side of the house. We then decided to go back to the car.

When we returned home we were greeted by Alistair. Thomas tried to get a slightly old digital camera to work. Although many of the photos he took came out a bit blurry and fuzzy. Then, after an episode of The Simpsons, Alistair jumped up and went back to work. I took up his seat and started to watch the second episode of Simpsons when I fell asleep...and woke up a couple of hours later to find that Thomas had been watching Micallef...and that it was dinner time. A tasty dinner of salami, ham and smoked salmon then followed. And then there were biscuts.

I have one last day in England before I fly off to Spain. Wonder how I'm going to update my blog in Spain..... Any way, I've got one more day here before I head off to Spain for two weeks (not too sure about the specific time of stay) and then I come back here for another two weeks (again, not too sure about the specific time of stay). So, who knows. I wonder if I could get an Australia-Spain power cable adapter for my laptop power cable.

Mount Ever-Rest

So today I got off the plane from Singapore to Heathrow. The flight was lovely. Delicious food, great TV, and excellent service. So when we got off (me and my brother Thomas) the plane we had to go through customs. So we had to pass over our bits of paper, and they needed to ring Nanna and Sally to see if there was someone there to pick me up. Luckily, Nanna and Sally was there to come and grab us. It was very cold.

Sally bought me a Diet Coke (which I still haven't finished) and we took all our things down to the car and headed off. We got home but had no key to get in, but a quick call to Giles soon fixed that problem. We hopped in and we put down our bags and tiredly sat in the sitting room and talked to aunts, uncles and grandparents...about being tired. Then Nanna offered us a breakfast of croissants, tea and hot chocolate. It was delicious. And during that breakfast we met Giles (with Xbox 360 in hand). It was nice to see him

We then went in to the sitting room for more presents. They were actually meant to be stocking presents. I got some toys (such as a flipping rat and a pair of rythm sticks) (I can't be to fussed to list them all here. Maybe tommorow.) and a book of Garfield. We then went up in to our room and watched some of The Micallef P(r)ogram(me). One sketch later Thomas decided to turn it off and go to sleep. And so he did. Half an hour of talking to people in the kitchen later I went along with the one man crowd. Five hours later we were awoken by Nanna and had hot chocolate and tea with a chat. 15 minutes later we had a dinner of coronation chicken, crisps (or chips), rice, tomatoes and cucumber. Followed by a delicious chocolate pudding. Thomas also had profitorole. We then had a go at the flipping rat. You move it about with the two buttons on the remote control and then press the little shoulder button to move the tail around to flip him. I then decided to come up to the computer room to write this blog and Nanna showed me the Cirque du Soleil show that we might see later on.

Goodbye.
